Soft & Bold
With the trending interest in the market for classic florals and toile’s we began work on a collection of florals where we could marry softness with bold colors. We chose to use graphite on paper as a base medium for its soft and textural quality. The preservation of the pencil work was key, so that any digital work was to only enhanced color and saturation.
Concept
This gorgeous penciled peony stood apart from other florals and was destined to become a hero graphic and print.
Create
By heightening the saturated colors and working in a sunset color palette we created a very versatile graphic illustration.
Altogether
With such a fun loud flower, we went for a very obvious repeat and offset it slightly with some white shadow flowers to give it an added layer of texture.
